Kolašin 1600 ski resort

The location

Kolašin sits on the Bjelasica massif in the north, and the Bar–Boljare motorway now brings it within an hour's drive of Podgorica and its airport. That changes the resort's catchment: weekend skiers from the capital, coastal hotel guests on day trips, and international visitors who can fly in and be on the slopes the same afternoon.

The resort is the most advanced of the state's mountain projects. The cable cars, slopes and base station are built and running, and a private base village is growing beside them under a separate long-term lease. Swissôtel is already open, with more branded hotels in the pipeline, so a new investor here joins an emerging cluster rather than founding one.

Summer matters as much as winter. Biogradska Gora National Park is close by, and the resort already runs cable-car sightseeing, mountain biking, hiking and events outside the ski season. Projects that plan for four seasons from the start will be easier to finance and staff than ski-only ones.

Cable cars K8 and K7; about 19.5 km of slopes; base station; access road; transformer stations. Snowmaking being expanded, with new reservoirs in procurement.
